What can I expect from a session?
Therapy will be different for everyone. Generally speaking, on the first session, you can expect to discuss what brings you to counseling and history relevant to your your issue. As sessions continue, we will discuss your progress, successes, struggles and obstacles. or therapy to be most effective, consistent appointments are recommended (usually weekly).
How will I get better?
You will get out of counseling what you put in to it. Therapy can be sometimes challenging, but also very rewarding as you learn and discover new ways of thinking and living.
How should I come prepared?
You may want to think about what you want to gain from counseling. Possibly have a goal or two in mind. Sometimes, you may not know where to start. That's perfectly fine. Just bring yourself and a willingness to talk.
