Too often do I see people approach therapy as a “last resort” rather than for what it could be: a tool to improve anyone’s quality of life no matter what challenges they are currently facing. Throughout my experience, I have found that therapy is a place to laugh and celebrate as much as it is a place to cry and grieve. My goal is to approach each session with curiosity rather than judgement so that you can feel comfortable being your authentic self. I have worked with clients from many racial/ethnic, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds and believe in making your personal values and traditions an integral part of the therapeutic process.
While I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults, I have experience working with clients from ages 5 to 65. I treat a wide variety of mental health issues, including depressive and bipolar disorders, trauma, anxiety, personality disorders, and eating disorders. I also have a special interest in working with clients with disabilities and chronic illness. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (including Trauma-Focused CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and other strengths-based modalities to help my clients meet their goals.
I earned my MSW from the University of Southern California and my BS in Psychology from
Northeastern University. I am a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker #95585. I am supervised by W. Renee Martin, LCSW #24409.
