The goal I strive for in my sessions is to ensure a safe and inviting environment for children and families to discuss challenges and engage in the therapeutic process. My hope is to help you to identify ways of coping with daily challenges, assist with building self-esteem, and focus on positive communication in order to achieve balance within your life. I have experience working with LGBTQ youth and families and understand how intersectionality impacts individuals across multiple life domains. I believe in the importance of meeting you where you are at and working collaboratively with you on your journey to healing. While I enjoy working with children and families, I also have experience in, and find joy in working with people of all ages.   

I received my Master’s in Social Work from Michigan State University. I have experience working with children experiencing symptoms of trauma, depression, anxiety, and behavioral concerns. I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also have training on the Nurturing Parenting Program and working with parents to implement alternative parenting techniques based on empathy and child development.  I am a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker #97424. I am supervised by W. Renee Martin, LCSW #24409.
